On sunday morning Livio woke up craving pancakes, so that’s what we had for breakfast.
We don’t usually prepare pancakes but they tasted so good we promised ourselves we’ll start making them more often.
Ok so we know pancakes are usually served with maple syrup but we didn’t have any at home so we had them
with honey and Nutella.
Our sunday tasted so good, I guess we’re slowly slowly entering in the American mood (we’ll spend one month
during the Christmas period in San Diego with my relatives and – oh my god are we exited!).
The pancakes we made on sunday were little ones and we had about 2-3 each, but you can make larger ones if you prefer.
Sweet Little Pancakes
125g all purpose flour
pinch of salt
6g baking powder
Sift the flour and add to baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl whisk together eggs and sugar.
Add the liquid mixture to the flour and slowly add the milk and the melted butter. Whisk until smooth.
Now heat a small amount of butter in a frying pan and pour the mixture little by little, helping yourself with a small ladle.
When you start to see little bubbles on the surface, turn the pancake on the other side and cook until golden.
Serve with honey or jam or Nutella or maple syrup and have a lovely sunday or any other day of the week.
